Create a memoir of your loved one’s life memories
An experience of a lifetime, for a lifetime.
We create beautiful coffee table books that capture your loved one’s life stories. Through one-on-one interview sessions, we talk about their experiences, taking time to reflect, enjoy, and collect the memories. From those conversations, we create a book for you to cherish and pass on to the future generations.
How it works
1. We get to know you:
We start by planning the sessions and discussing the stories you want to capture. This helps us ensure each story reflects what matters most.
Our one-on-one interviews encourage your loved one to look back on their experiences, sharing the stories that have defined their journey.
2. One-on-one sessions:
3. We work our magic:
Our creative team brings these stories to life, crafting a beautiful personalised book that captures the essence of each stage in their lives.
4. Lasting Memories:
The finished book is yours to keep and share with family and friends. A meaningful collection of memories to be cherished for generations.

FAQs

Maria Pineda and Isaac Kirby created Who Knew out of a desire to preserve the beautiful, irreplaceable stories of loved ones that are often forgotten over time. They wanted to give families a way to capture these treasured memories for generations to come, and people an opportunity to tell stories they might have never told before.

We prefer to think of our books as a collection of memories. We categorise the story into key chronological chapters and then use quotes from the interviews to save the stories exactly as they were told.
-
We want the stories to be told in a way that they can be felt. We encourage real images to be included with a maximum of 10 in our Who Knew package, and include up to 10 illustrations created by our team.

Each project includes one book in our standard package. If you'd like additional copies, we can do it!

We make the process simple and enjoyable, with one main point of contact who guides the project from start to finish. This can be the person being interviewed or a family member helping organise the experience. We do the heavy lifting, but we’ll nudge you at key moments—like preparing for the sessions—to make sure everything flows smoothly and you get the most out of each conversation. It’s not time-consuming, but these small steps help us create a book that truly captures the heart of each story.
